Our entire program is physical and arrives at your door, no printing needed. It contains all the study materials and equipment for your child, and all of the documentation that you’ll need to apply for home schooling registration.   • Amelia, 15

    Some students are just naturally suited to home schooling. This is true of Amelia, who already held down a job in a local retail store, attends tennis coaching twice a week and is a keen surfer and musician. Amelia was bored with the study topics she was being offered at school. Since starting her Coach House program, she has engaged in fascinating and challenging depth studies of Marine Biology, Ancient Greek History, Survivalist Skills, Forensic Science and Espionage. Amelia also runs her own online business importing clothing and re-packaging and re-branding it for sale in the Australian market.

  • Leah, 13

    Leah's mother came to us in desperation after her daughter was forced by school authorities to attend a special class because of her unmanageable behaviour in lessons. Leah sat in a corner of the room with her earbuds in, and gradually withdrew from others until she was isolated at school. Teachers gave up requiring work from her, and her oppositional behaviour led to regular trouble at school and bouts of depression. After her interview at Coach House unveiled some of her passionate interests, such as birds, animals and Norse mythology, Leah agreed to give her new program a try. In the past year, she's created a leather-bound Viking style journal, in which she has written numerous creative pieces and documented her journey out of depression. She has discovered a new skill set in taming wild birds and is now working well above her year level in Mathematics, something that she thought she could never achieve. As a result, Leah is now aiming to study Zoology at university, and is well on her way in life.

    When Jake came to us for a program, he was all set to put his feet up. Jake was under the false impression that home schooling simply meant staying home from school and taking it easy. Within the first term of his new program, Jake was offered paid work in aquaculture as part of the study program we designed for him. He is now studying at higher levels in Maths and Science than he ever dreamed possible, all while earning decent money, receiving on-the-job training and saving for the future.

    Dominic's school friends were getting into vaping, and they were dragging him down a pathway that his family feared would lead to worse trouble. Don’t fall for misinformation about home schooling

It may look like you’ve ticked the box, but a “plan on paper” is only the beginning. Most consultants will give you a one-off document — but what happens next? When inspectors ask for evidence of how that plan is implemented, or when your child needs resources to actually learn from, you’re left scrambling.

The Department of Education’s Authorised Persons can easily see through this ad hoc approach. AI is clever, but it doesn’t know your child — or the NSW curriculum. Families tell us they’ve wasted hours pasting prompts into ChatGPT, only to end up with generic content that doesn’t match their child’s level or Department requirements. Can’t I just use freebies I find online?

Free worksheets and online resources are everywhere. But here’s the catch: random (and often low quality) resources don’t add up to a coherent program.
